The move to online sales had already started, but with customers being unable to come in for test drives, physically inspect cars and go through negotiations face-to-face, there was now a state of urgency when it came to moving towards digital.&nbsp;</p>

Nissan Nordic Europe decided to embrace the opportunity, but they knew they needed a reliable and equally innovative partner to make the necessary changes happen.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The objective of the partnership was to develop a completely new digital ecosystem consisting of Nissan Nordic’s suppliers. The new system allows the optimization of omni-channel sales via a new Sales &amp; CRM software system. Also known as the agency model, the goal of the new approach was to adapt to the changing customer buying behavior and restructure the dealer network, whilst highlighting the importance of great customer experience at every step of the way.</p>

<p>In the framework of the new approach, Nissan Nordic Europe will be fully responsible for customer purchases and ownership, whilst managing their stock, establishing a consistent pricing strategy and ensuring direct sales with their customers. At the same time, Nissan’s distribution network will be taking on the role of agents, acting as the key contact point for customers, answering their queries and supporting with making test drive bookings. The responsibility for managing vehicle deliveries on behalf of Nissan as well as offering aftermarket services will also fall under their scope.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The new solution by Modera was integrated with Nissan Nordic’s online and backend systems, along with financing, insurance and other third-party tools. The objective of such integration is to provide an all-encompassing multi-channel shopping experience for all Nissan Nordic’s customers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As the new approach has launched just recently, both parties are excited to introduce it to the wider market. They’ve also taken their trade-in processes to the next level with the help of Modera’s trade-in app, which has allowed the team to easily give customers a precise and market-based value estimation for every vehicle. On top of that, since introducing Salesfront to their dealership, both new and used car sales have become a lot less time- and paperwork-consuming. United Motors has also been able to publish their stock on classified portals.</p>

<p>Having been on the market for over 20 years as the official representative of Renault, Dacia and Nissan vehicles in Estonia, City Motors knew the importance of keeping up with current market trends and making sure their dealerships reflected that. The company had been using solutions and products by a reputable company for years, but was starting to realise that one-size-fits-all type of systems meant for a wide range of industries might not be the perfect fit for them.</p>

<p>City Motors was looking for a solution that was created with the specific needs of the automotive industry in mind. They found themselves struggling to keep up with the increasing demands of factory needs, as well as needing a reliable CRM solution to manage leads, customers and relevant data. On top of that, the company was looking for a solution that would allow all of their dealerships to have access to real-time stock. It was also important to create a modern and user-friendly website to accommodate the increasing customer interest in online shopping, whilst reflecting the real-time availability of products and vehicles in stock.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On their hunt for the perfect solution to help tackle the above challenges, City Motors decided to give Modera Software a try. Knowing that Modera’s solutions were created specifically for the automotive industry, taking into consideration the special needs and requirements, City Motors was hoping the solutions would be the answer to their problems as well.  </p>

<p>The cooperation started in 2020 and consisted of two phases. The first step was to start adapting the existing processes to Modera’s CRM solution. Much to the company’s delight, the implementation process was fairly easy and the positive impacts of the change didn’t take long to show. Taking care of a number of leads coming in from different channels while drafting accurate and detailed offers was proving to be a challenge, as there was a lack of consistent and synchronized data that would be accessible for all involved parties.</p>

<p>With leads coming in through various platforms and no specific way to evaluate them, there was a definite risk of losing out on valuable conversions, as salespeople were missing an easy and quick way to manage and respond to leads. <strong>On average, 8 to 11 offers were sent out on a weekly basis</strong>, which was not enough when compared to the amount of incoming leads. Even when those offers went out, there was a risk this offer wouldn’t be communicated to all salespeople and the customer might end up with mixed information regarding the price of the vehicle.</p>

<p>KIA Auto was facing several challenges in 2016. The distributor was struggling with data discrepancies,&nbsp;insufficient reports, and the&nbsp;lack of data for a thorough business analysis. The dealer side was missing uniformity, easy access to product information and a trustworthy lead management system. Among other things, this resulted in ineffective use of time, resources, and created human errors.</p>

<p>The primary cause for the problems was the fact that KIA Auto did not have a proper system in place, to gather and store all the necessary information and make it accessible for everyone.</p>

<p>Having dealerships all over the Baltics made multi-language management time consuming and caused a lot of errors. There was a lack of uniformity in data distribution tools to the dealers and data itself was of poor quality. Sales were hindered because there was no one tool to manage car price lists, accessories, options, and images.</p>

<p>Also, not having a car configurator definitely did not help matters.</p>

<p>Local websites did not comply with KIA web standards. At the same time, complex content management system required constant support from the website admin.</p>

<p>What KIA Auto really needed was a one-stop-shop type of solution to gather all the data onto one easily accessible platform. The dealer network had to become one united and harmonious front.</p>

<p>Modera Webfront provided official websites, with a harmonious theme, for all three countries as well as a unified website solution for all the dealers. The system made it easy to manage an online presence for everyone.</p>

<p>All the websites are centrally updated in real time via Modera Importer hub, saving KIA Auto a lot of valuable time.</p>

<p>Data Hub made it possible for the importer to centrally maintain an extensive set of car data for all 3 countries. The price lists, options and accessories, images, grades etc. were all finally stored in one place.  Thanks to Data Hub, KIA Auto can centrally update the content on all the dealers’ websites, making sure all the information is up to date.</p>

<p>Campaigns became consistent and timely with the help of Central Campaign Management, which allowed to manage and distribute campaigns, offers, news and events in real time.</p>

<p>By setting up Importer Stock, the importer could manage vehicle pipeline statuses, display free stock to its network and allow dealers to make car reservations and order online.</p>

<p>Once Modera Salesfront was implemented for the entire dealer network, the importer and distributor side became truly connected. The importer was able to receive real time master data, see distributor stock and provide sales funnel data to the distributor.</p>
